Was thinking of getting this product. Anyone use this product (or similar)? Was curious what you thought about it, it was advertised quite a bit during Versus' Tour de France programming.
I am becoming jaded in Privacy practices of vendors. Didn't quite know if I wanted to provide information to them that would make that product useful. May just put something together on my own and keep it on my person while riding.
I did want to buy something while they had their prize contest before end of the month.

yup, I've got a velcro anklet that I wear when biking. At the very least, it's a small step towards making my care easier for EMT's if I'm ever involved in an accident.

I have the anklet that I wear as a bracelet ( is there a difference?)
I received it a a gift. It's well made and I figure it is money well spent.

How do you have the data on your Road ID? Does it have the information readily there? Or, do you have the interactive product that requires web access and/or phone support?

I have the standard shoe-tab version. Has my name, city/state, names/#'s for 3 contacts. I wear it every time I run or ride, and I've had it for 2 years.

I like the idea of updating contacts and medical info with interactive version. But having the version you talk about Bill seems to make sense, since I tend to not like the idea of having Medical info in the hands of Road ID. Not that their untrustworthy, but...

i have my name, blood type, allergies, parent's phone #, organ donor status all listed directly on the metal tag/plate that's attached to the velcro anklet. I should probably update it to include my wife's contact # as well, but just haven't gotten around to it. No need for SSN or insurance info, just pertinent info. for first responders (allergies, blood type, primary contact info).
