waterboarding at 4 AM - space-time - 09-30-2010

4 AM, I was happily sleeping, then suddenly my CPAP maks filled with water when I turned from one side to another. Not funny.

what happened was I believe the humidifier for the CPAP machine was set too high, and water was condensating inside the CPAP tube, and when I turned, the tube moved and all that water spilled inside the mask, and in my nostrils.

I suspect the baby might have turned the humidifier knob too high, but then again it is my fault for not checking the settings every night.

Is everything in your house is connected to that one clogged drain!?

I'd check for new life insurance policies held by family members.

I'd take these signs as a warning to not go on a cruise anytime soon. Water is the bane of your existence this week for sure. Smile

Yowza.. that's a toughie.

Worse was my early morning wakeups from aspirating... well, let's just say they were wet burps and leave it at that.

My wife got used to me leaping out of bed choking and dash to the bathroom. She referred to it as "Male Menopause Morning Sickness".

Glad you're OK.

I did LOL at Phil's response, but if it makes you feel any better, my mom's CPAP tried to drown her once or twice when she first got it. Sorry you have to wear it at all, but hopefully this won't happen again.
