Woke up coughing at 2:30. Failing to fall asleep again, I'm drinking tea with honey and brandy.

Anybody else up?

Just finished roasting a chicken, Honey Tea and Brandy works. Keep some Nyquil on hand it will knock you out and take the cough with you. Some Tylenol with Benadryl works also. Semi erect sleeping position can help. Also lying on your side as opposed to your back helps also.

iLove Nyquil.. that nice old combination of alcohol and cold meds... whap, I'm gone. mrs. cbelt3, OTOH, is kept wide awake from the antihistamine in it. She's wired weird. But that's obvious.. she married me !

Gargle with honey and cider vinegar in hot water (as hot as you can stand).

Dextromethorphan or, better yet, codeine work best for me and my wife. If the air is dry, get a vaporizer.

My doctor wrote a prescription for a few Tylenol #3 tablets. I cut them in half and take only a half for hours of relief.

Good advice. I frequently go to bed erect and fall asleep sleep semi erect.
