Oy. I gotta hope that this is an Onion-esque article.

Funniest comment yet that I've read on Facebook about this:

"Because everyone wants to think about the day their parents had sex"

Ewwwwwww !

I have a friend and he and his only two siblings have birthdays all in the same week.
When they counted back 9 months they figured out it was his dads birthday.

The running family joke was "hey mom - what are you getting dad for his birthday this year?"

Satire.

You might note that every article at that site is also "onionesque".

"Obama Warns Supporters: Transition to Socialism Will Take Time"

"ISCONSIN GOVERNOR SCOTT WALKER IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT: TEACHERS ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH AND ARE THE CAUSE OF ALL OF AMERICA’S PROBLEMS"

This is a very common practice in Asia. When I was in Korea, all of the Koreans I knew counted their age this way.

It's satire, but not quite obvious enough. Unless the motive is to provide fuel for right-wingers who can't figure it out. I would imagine you'll find these stories repeated as truth all over teh internets.
