Default Folder hijacking my browser - BLeonard - 05-16-2006 They have come up with an update to Default Folder and several times I've come back to my computer and found my browser has automatically loaded a page announcing their update. I find this kind of creepy. Re: Default Folder hijacking my browser - LaserKun - 05-16-2006 I think you can turn this off; go to Default Folder's preferences and turn off check for updates automatically. Just look around the menus and you will find it... maybe this is what you are talking about. Re: Default Folder hijacking my browser - BLeonard - 05-17-2006 The last time this happened I came back to my computer which had the screensaver running with password protection. I had to click in the password field and quickly type the first letter of my password and then the screensaver app became a background app and I would have to again click very quickly the password field and quickly enter the next character. It took me about ten minutes to get back into my computer only to find Default Folder's page staring at me in my browser. I think I'm going to disable this program. |
