Anyone have the prepaid tmobile 4g hotspot? - zero - 05-30-2011 Does anyone have e prepaid version of e tmobile hotspot? Does it work well? ( I want to use it with an iPad in the car) The data packages seems good as well, with no contract Comments? TIA Re: Anyone have the prepaid tmobile 4g hotspot? - space-time - 05-30-2011 I am wondering the same thing... especially if one uses 3G/4G data very rarely, it may be a better deal than ATT/Verizon. If you put $100 in, how much data do you get, and when does it expire? with voice $100 gives you 1000 minutes and they last 1 year, and then if you add as little as $10, they unused minutes roll over. I wonder if the data plan does the same. Re: Anyone have the prepaid tmobile 4g hotspot? - Michael - 05-30-2011 I'm wondering, as well. My particular interest is the relative quality of the Tmobile hotspot vs. the Virgin hotspot connectivity and usage. It looks like the Tmobile plan is $10 for 100mb (7 days), $30 for 1gb and $50 for 3gb, these last two for 30 days. The Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go through Walmart is $10 for 100mb (10days), $20 for 1gb, and $40 for unlimited, the last two for 30 days. My understanding is that you have to buy the Virgin hotspot device through Walmart to get those prices. Edit: fixed days of usage. Re: Anyone have the prepaid tmobile 4g hotspot? - bwicklander - 05-30-2011 Virginmobile done away with unlimited and now has a 5 gb cap. You don't have to buy it from walmart to get the prices. The 1GB for $20 option was initially available only through Walmart. Not sure if that has changed. |
