Software Engineer Available, not me, just helping out - Monster - 05-25-2006 Just helping out someone from a local NJ forum I frequent, feel free to reply to my address and I will forward, or don't, it's all okay.... Monster I'm between jobs at the moment. If you need a software engineer / electronic engineer / computer generalist please drop me a line. I've programmed in a range of environments and debugged / tested systems ranging from really far out encryption systems to a tiny microcontroller based box for a Kiwi TV game show (Young farmer of the year). Here's the obligatory list of abbreviations and acronyms. Languages: -- Pretty much any Algol family derivative (C, Pascal, Algol 68 anyone)? -- Scripting and productivity languages ( Perl, Batch, Awk, Make ) -- OOP since formal training in Eiffel in '89. -- Java since it was version 0.9, including interfacing to things like TTCN-3 -- Embedded C since 89 -- Prolog - I enjoy the declarative thing. -- Forth - RPN is fun. -- APL, J, New S - More fun. -- Assembler - x86, ARM, MSP430, 8051, 6502, 6800, 6809, FR30, SPARC, MIPS, 8080 -- UNIX - SunOS 4.1.3, SGI IRIX 5, Solaris 8, SCO System V -- Linux since Yggadrisl plug and play Linux bootable CD (Linux kernel version 0.9 or 1.0 I think). -- MS Windows Since Version 3.0, OS/2 V 1.3, 2.0, 3.0, DOS, OS65D, NT, Netware -- Network / LAN cabling, servers and infrastructure since we used to use 10 base 5 (cheapernet). If you have a weird architecture or old dusty deck code (HP3000, VAX, Wang VS, PICK) that you can't find anyone who's willing to dig into please drop me a private line . I especially like lighting up old systems.
