Change Lion iCal and Address Book Skins from Leather to Aluminum - tuqqer - 07-23-2011 http://macnix.blogspot.com/2011/07/change-mac-os-x-107-lion-ical-skin-to.html I do think it was an odd UI choice for Apple to do that. Re: Change Lion iCal and Address Book Skins from Leather to Aluminum - Grumpyguy - 07-23-2011 Thank you. I think Apple has officially chucked all of its user interface guides ; ) Re: Change Lion iCal and Address Book Skins from Leather to Aluminum - N-OS X-tasy! - 07-23-2011 Grumpyguy wrote: It didn't just chuck them - it severed them, threw them down the garbage disposal and hit the switch. LOL. I was reading the Lion support forum at Apple to see what people had to say about the implementation of Spaces, now Desktop. Best thread title: "Why did Apple gimp Spaces?" Re: Change Lion iCal and Address Book Skins from Leather to Aluminum - Trouble - 07-23-2011 A little splash of color never hurt anything. All the mod really does is change a leather graphic to aluminum. Doesn't change the layout or any functionality. That's just plain stupid, or Microsoftean even. I think, more than anything, it just shows that Apple has unfortunately reached that place where it's so big that they've lost the ability to communicate well between their development teams. I think the problem has existed for quite some time actually, but it just keeps getting worse. My 2ยข |
