I want to see both too... heard that B:LA should be nominated for "Most Flying Debris".
Also want to check out Source Code and Limitless.

Haven't seen Sucker Punch, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Battle: LA.

(Kiss my ass, Ebert.)

I'm surprised people here have mentioned liking either. I've only read that people were disappointed in both. I will say that some really liked the first 3/4 of Battle LA but the ending was really disappointing. I really like those sorts of films (the premise of the film, not the types of films that have a disappointing ending). If I had to choose, i'd go with that one.

I just watched Skyline last night and it was a solid 3/5 stars until the end, too.

Battle: LA is like a long military recruiting commercial.

I'll mirror Will's feeling...
I enjoyed Battle: LA... even though it's a semi-routine shoot-'em-up. It's a pretty GOOD shoot-'em-up!

And I seldom agree with Ebert when it comes to anything vaguely sci-fi.

I watched Battle: LA also. It's alot of action, not much story, good for mild entertainment.

Battle: LA good choice - Grumpyguy - 07-24-2011

kinda like my movies patriotic and with an upbeat ending.
