Please recommend a good seat cushion... - PeterB - 07-30-2011 ... the seat on my cheapo Staples mesh chair has really flattened: http://www.staples.com/Staples-Acadia-Ergonomic-Mesh-Task-Chair-Black/product-nr_570621 ... great chair, EXCEPT for the seat... not surprisingly, it flattens pretty easily. Any suggestions? Re: Please recommend a good seat cushion... - John B. - 07-30-2011 Umm, PeterB, please don't take this the wrong way, as the sun probably hit me wrong today or something, but...a seat cushion????? The ones that you tie on to a kitchen chair are probably available in a array of colors at a big box store near you for less than $10. The holidays are coming up, so they'll probably stock the ones that heat and vibrate as well. ....now slinking away to the background to watch and see which forum member has done an extensive survey of the quality of replacement office chair seat cushions. Re: Please recommend a good seat cushion... - PeterB - 07-30-2011 Hmmmm, maybe I should have explained better. I look and see all manner and variety -- ergonomic, vibrating, wedge, etc. -- but mostly I don't see how they will remain on the seat. I guess I was asking more from the perspective of this particular chair; I suppose the other thing I could do is see if they'll replace it under warranty (doubt it, I think it's too old). Put me down for a redhead please......:boink: ![]() Re: Please recommend a good seat cushion... - cbelt3 - 07-31-2011 As the resident accident prone phorumite, I'll share a note... Yes. I've busted my ass. Well, my tailbone. And so I did research on seat cushions to relieve the very significant pain that existed while the bones fused. (And yes, my doctor did offer to 'put my ass in a sling'... I love my doctor, he's got a weird sense of humor.) The key to properly cushioned tushes is to provide relief for the spine at the bottom. Not 'support'... So the bestest cushion I found had a little notch cut out in the back. Like this. Yes, it looks like a pair of shorts. ![]() Re: Please recommend a good seat cushion... - PeterB - 07-31-2011 cbelt3, yeah, I'm leaning toward one of those, the only problem is that they tend to slide around... Re: Please recommend a good seat cushion... - Manlove - 07-31-2011 A piece of string and two minutes should solve the whole "cushion won't stay on the seat" dilemma.
