Recommended coconut water to try? - Trouble - 08-01-2011 Suggestions? Re: Recommended coconut water to try? - NewtonMP2100 - 08-01-2011 .....make sure you get the pure coconut water [should be clear] and not the white stuff that has coconut 'bark 'in it..... .....coconut water (baby ones seems to taste the best IMHO) is full of electrolytes (so good to use like 'gatorade') but don't drink too much as it is a natural diuretic.... O.N.E. Vita Coco Zico [not my fave] ....are just some names.....most have a bit of fruit flavor but I prefer it plain......warning, as some do not like the taste (I love it though)..... ....it can be expensive but you can also go to any asian supermarket and get cheaper brands.....just remember to read the ingredients..... Re: Recommended coconut water to try? - haikuman - 08-01-2011 The best is from relative fresh Coconuts. I have never purchased bottled Coconut water. I am not sure about your location Trouble but often larger Super Markets and some specialty stores will have Coconuts for sale in the Produce Departments. I like to put them in the refrigerator until they are chilled and then remove the Coconut punch a hole in it and suck down the delicious Coconut water. Yes it is good for your kidneys (diuretic) and it has more Potassium than Bananas or Gatorade Rudie Re: Recommended coconut water to try? - lafinfil - 08-01-2011 haikuman wrote: It depends. My brother had some coconuts (he bought them for a dime) and it didn't work out so well) Part of the problem was that my sister put some lime in the coconut and drank it all up. Well she ended up with a belly ache so she called the doctor (woke him up) She said "doctor, ain't there nothing I can take (to relieve this belly ache) I don't think the doctor fully understood the issue because his advice was to "put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up, and to call him in the morning" Then he called her a silly woman which was pretty unprofessional. In his defense, she had called and woke him up. My advise not to put the lime in the coconut, or perhaps buy a better grade of coconuts (that cost more than a dime) YMMV : -) Re: Recommended coconut water to try? - haikuman - 08-01-2011 Goos one Phil *(:>* I like that song... There is a remote possibility that particular Doctor was partaking of some udder herbs ~!~ *(:>* Re: Recommended coconut water to try? - OWC Jamie - 08-01-2011 cleavage sweat ? I haven't tried any of the other brands. I've tried a couple of the flavored variants, but so far I prefer the plain one. I have no lyrics with which to explain this. |
