iPhone 1st Gen-Good, cheap battery replacement? - anonymouse1 - 09-05-2011

I'm trying to nurse this puppy along, but it's at the point that I have to recharge morning and night, if I'm not careful.

The best I've found is around $50--anybody know of anything better.

And please remember--this is a 1st gen--there's lots of cheaper places for 3g and 3gs.

Thanks!

Sorry, should have been clearer:

I'm looking for a service--it looks like a bunch of work to do a 1st gen iPhone battery.

Thanks!

FYI: I tried to open an iPod Touch and it's very difficult... I would probably do it right now after I saw how it comes apart, but the first time I did screw up. graylocks also found the process very difficult. if iPhone 1 is the same way, just pay someone who knows what they're doing.

you can also wait a few weeks to see if a new prepaid iPhone comes out.
