No more 99¢ movie rentals at iTunes store? - DeusxMac - 09-09-2011 I rented a couple of 99¢ movies for travel about 9 month ago. The iTunes store had a page of about 20 or 30 of them as I recall. I thought I'd do the same for another trip I'm about to take, but I cannot find this page anywhere now at the store. Is the page and selection gone? Is Apple now only offering a one 99¢ rental per week? ![]() Re: No more 99¢ movie rentals at iTunes store? - evilrobot - 09-09-2011 i always liked the selection of the 99¢ rentals too, but unfortunately yes, it's now only 1 per week. honestly, if your only offering 1 choice - why bother? Re: No more 99¢ movie rentals at iTunes store? - testcase - 09-09-2011 More trouble but Red Box rents current DVDs for $1. You get the physical disk which must returned to any Red Box by 9PM the following day. My local library has about 10,000 title on DVD for free. RipIt works well to transfer a DVD to my hard drive. On my current trek, I started with about 100GBs of movies / shows on my MBP. All that HD space has been reclaimed as I deleted titles. Re: No more 99¢ movie rentals at iTunes store? - mrbigstuff - 09-09-2011 yes, if you're going to make the trip, make it to your local library. my local charges $1/rental for a week, documentaries are still free for a 3 week rental. well worth it and I feel much better giving the local library a buck than the redbox machine. FWIW, my library has a really great selection of BD titles, too. |
