He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - Seacrest - 10-06-2011 http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2011-10-05/fred-shuttlesworth-dies/50667896/1?csp=34news Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - RgrF - 10-06-2011 I'd never before heard of him, I thought you were on about Andy Reed. Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - $tevie - 10-06-2011 He had so much courage. He faced such danger and violence, but in the end he outlived the Bull Connors of that era and lived to see a Black man elected President of his country. Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - Mac1337 - 10-06-2011 What a cheap way to bring politics into his death. Jobs was a ruthless businessman who shipped jobs overseas, earned the kind of profits that you would otherwise call thievery and made Apple one of the least philanthropic companies. Apple is what it is because Jobs did not listen to kooks like you. That picture you have is the portrait of a man you attack daily. Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - Black - 10-06-2011 Oh jeez. I was never that interested in physics, but shouldn't there be some natural limit to ignorance? Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - Ted King - 10-06-2011 Black wrote: If the universe is infinite, then there is an infinite amount of information that could theoretically be known. That means that there could be an infinite amount of information that isn't known. That means there could be no natural limit to Dakota's ignorance. He could be infinitely ignorant since having even a bit of knowledge doesn't make the infinite amount of knowledge not known less infinite. Thus, his ignorance would also be infinite. But lest we get too much pleasure contemplating Dakota's infinite ignorance, we need to acknowledge that no human has more than an infinitesimal fraction of the potentially infinite amount of information that could be known. We are all, in effect, infinitely ignorant. It's just that some individuals' infinite ignorance is a bit smaller than other individuals' infinite ignorance. Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - Mac1337 - 10-06-2011 Running for tall grass, I see. Jobs and Apple are the kind of CEOs and company that those Wall Street protestors are protesting against. How many times have you ranted against companies because they are "sitting on" trillions of dollars while millions are unemployed? Well, Apple is one of them. Look how Jobs created jobs and how that novice Obama is trying, and failing, to create jobs. It is all in front of you but hacks are too blind to see it. Re: He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world - $tevie - 10-06-2011 This thread is about the Reverend Shuttlesworth. Stop sh*tting on it. |
