Is it wrong to laugh at crying kids? - miK. - 11-04-2011

Jimmy Kimmel challenged parents to tell their kids they ate their Halloween candy and then tape the reactions...

p.s. Most of the crying is the fakest you ever heard, but hang in there for the last 2 kids!

Saw that the other night. Funny stuff. The kid that got angry got some issues.

Only if you kick them at the same time...then it is just mean.

Why, no. No it's not!

Funny stuff. Reminds me of Jill Greenberg's series, "End Times," for which she was nearly burned at the stake.

Disclaimer: I love kids (most of 'em) so if you prank them, you'd better make it up to them.

I think the bigger question is: Is it OK to do something mean to your kids for your own purposes, film their reaction, and broadcast it on a social media medium with millions of viewers and, vicariously, on national television?

Sorry, I'm usually pretty thick skinned and the first to jump in with a hearty belly laugh, even when the humor seems inappropriate to some, but this just seemed like all kinds of wrong to me.
