Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - spacescape - 12-16-2011 Just wondering... Amazon has them for $189.00. 8GB is all my kid needs so no reason to talk me into a 32GB model. In fact, I really wish I grabbed a refurbished a few days ago when Apple had them (I think)... I could probably even settle for a previous generation if I could find one "new" or "apple refurbished". Re: Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - freeradical - 12-17-2011 Well, the 64 GB 3rd gen refurb is only $249 from Apple right now. One of the reasons I got a 32 GB Touch back in mid 2010, was that it was going to be fully supported by iOS 4 and above. The 8 GB model is actually a 2nd gen Touch. That is something that you might want to consider. My 32 GB Touch is over half full, and I really don't have all that much on it... Re: Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - spacescape - 12-17-2011 8 GB is the current revision... Retinal display, Camera, Video and FaceTime. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_touch/select Re: Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - Lew Zealand - 12-17-2011 The current 8GB is not a 2nd Gen model. It has the same processor and the same screen as the other 4th Gen models as it is a 4th Gen itself. Check the specs here: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html The "3rd" Gen 8GB iTouches actually had 2nd-Gen innards. Re: Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - D. Lawson - 12-17-2011 If you have any need for Target gift cards, you might consider the 32 GB model just the same. Target has it for $295 with a $40 gift card. You can stack this 10% off iPod printable coupon to knock $29.50 off the price: http://coupons.target.com/electronics-coupons In addition, Target is also giving out a $10 gift card with a $75+ purchase through Saturday 12/17 at noon. If you're set on the 8 GB, it would be $170.10 (after coupon) + tax with a $10 gift card (if you buy it before noon). The 8 GB isn't eligible for the $40 gift card, however. Just for the extra longevity. Everything goes obsolete so fast now. Ymmv Re: Who has the best deal on a 8GB iPod Touch? - spacescape - 12-17-2011 D. Lawson wrote: Thanks. This is for a 4 year old (instead of a LeapPad) so I think an 8GB model would be perfect. Thanks for the coupon. Thanks for the coupon. We picked this up today... It was $195 in the store but got 10% off and $20 worth of gift-cards ($10 per $75). |
