There comes a time in the life of every piece of computer code that, no matter how much you update it, no matter how many bug fixes and new features you apply, it will always be behind the curve. I think Android, with the Ice Cream Sandwich v4, has reached that point. Android is as good as it’s going to get. The sales will continue, the brand name will live on, but the time for great leaps in usability and functionality has passed.

Yeah, but M$ changes the UI while leaving the OS the same, thus fooling the ignorant that significant improvements have been made. Case in point (and there are many):

Go ahead, try and find Add/Remove Programs in that Control Panel list. It helps if you squint.

Add/Remove Programs is now called Programs and Features, but if you're migrating up from Windows XP, you'd be super confused.

Weird. My Nook Color running 2.2 underneath the skin is a rather nice tablet for $119+tax. From what I can tell Ice Cream Sandwich is very nice update to the older 2.x branch (Truthfully, I found later updates of Honeycomb to be quite useful.)
