Forget FB, "Quit if you won Mega Millions? Interviewers asking" - Blankity Blank - 03-29-2012 Not really. It's just a BS article on MSNBC that doesn't cite a single instance of an employer asking about the lottery. It's just another article about telling the right fibs when you get interviewed. I'm sure there really are HR drones out there that really would get their nose out of joint if someone said yes to a question like that. Re: Forget FB, "Quit if you won Mega Millions? Interviewers asking" - cbelt3 - 03-29-2012 OMG ! Are they asking "Do you purchase a lot of TIDE ? " Re: Forget FB, "Quit if you won Mega Millions? Interviewers asking" - Acer - 03-29-2012 "Quit? No, I'd buy the company and fire you." Re: Forget FB, "Quit if you won Mega Millions? Interviewers asking" - 3d - 03-29-2012 If you answer, no, they'd know you are a liar. If you're lying about that, what else are you lying about during the interview? Re: Forget FB, "Quit if you won Mega Millions? Interviewers asking" - Ombligo - 03-29-2012 I would turn it back on them -- I'd just tell them that given the information as presented, that yes it would be in both our interests for me to resign. I assume the company would not want an employee that A) Could never really be intimidated, because they could just walk away B) have no real incentive to arrive on time, stay until closing or give 100% at all times and C) would bring unwanted media attention to the company, since they always love the lottery winner still works type story However since I have not won the lottery, and in fact never play the lottery - then I would be happily doing those three things in order to keep my employer satisfied and keep my job.
