I'm on a mission to civilize... - Chakravartin - 07-18-2012 “First of all I’m a registered Republican, I only seem liberal because I believe hurricanes are caused by high barometric pressure instead of gay marriage…” (Sorkin's still got it.) ... 'Anyone else think that show's been getting significantly better with every episode? http://www.pajiba.com/seriously_random_lists/12-reasons-why-i-love-aaron-sorkins-newsroom-over-the-objection-of-critics.php Re: I'm on a mission to civilize... - Lemon Drop - 07-18-2012 You elitists and your HBO! Will this be on netflix anytime soon? Looks like something I might like. I agree, but you can have too much of a good thing sometimes. If he would just let the characters catch their breath every now and then, it would make it more enjoyable. There is just too much talking going on, and it is usually rapid fire, too." That's how he does it. He crafts the dialogue like a musician. The interview on Fresh Air explains some of that. He has or did have a stammer and acknowledged he wasn't a ball of fire personality-wise. Re: I'm on a mission to civilize... - Ca Bob - 07-18-2012 It's low pressure that causes hurricanes, right? That's why they talk about a tropical low.
