WASHINGTON – Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) is preparing legislation to amend the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 to require presidential candidates to make public 10 years of tax returns and disclose overseas accounts.

I wish that both sides would stop using the House of Representatives as a place to play Gotcha. There's serious work to be done but these wankers don't seem to even notice.

"RomneyShare" is kind of awesome.

As long as she introduces it fewer than 33 times I'm OK with it. Rolleyes


I actually think this bill is a good idea and a natural extension of existing campaign disclosure laws. We're in a brave new world of finance and wealth and politics, and I'd like to see fewer places to hide.

Now of course in reality it has zero chance of passing a GOP-led House, but I think the point is well made.

Your day-to-day congressperson has little to say when it comes to politics on a presidential level, so all they can do is what they always do - try to ingratiate themselves.
