Is there a way to update iPod without iTunes? - maurycy - 06-24-2006 Hi, Is there a way to update iPod without using iTunes? I have DVDs with mp3 files that I would like selectively upload to my iPod. It is my collection of CDs that I once ripped into mp3 files. I just do not want to copy all the files to the hard drive because my DVD player plays mp3 files and my PowerBook's disk space is limited. Thanks. Re: Is there a way to update iPod without iTunes? - incognegro - 06-24-2006 you can use iTunes without adding the MP3s to your hard drive. open iTunes, highlight the iPod on the left side, then open your DVD and drag the Mp3 files onto the iPod icon, not into the Library. Re: Is there a way to update iPod without iTunes? - pinion - 06-24-2006 You should use YamiPod http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/ . It allows you to manage the songs on your iPod or any iPod rather it be playing them adding to or exporting to hard drive. Playlist manager and all. It is free which is great but what sold me was that you can run it directly off the iPod. No install just extract and go. Version for Mac, Linux and Windows. One of the few freeware programs I'm thinking of throwing a small donation to. |
