Apple steps up to the plate regarding eMac capacitor woes - Golfer - 06-24-2006

I got the authorization last week to get my eMac fixed at no charge. The Product Specialist wouldn't call it a "known issue" but said they where checking into it. He went ahead and okayed my fix for my leaking/bulging capacitors anyhow. http://iowatelecom.net/~brettc/emaccaps.html

Now they have announced a repair extension program for all machines that qualify...

It's not like users on their discussion boards have been complaining about it for at least the last six months or so ...

I was one of those complainers!

To quote the Specialist, "a thread in a forum does not indicate a known issue". It was the response I expected but that didn't make it any easier to take.
