Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - Dennis S - 09-01-2012 What a man. He walks on the backs of hurricane victims so he could rush down there ASAP to beat Obama to the punch. Obama had a trip planned Monday, but Mitt got together with the con-man Governor, Jindal, and hightailed to the area to show he was the man of the hour instead of the President. How compassionate. (By the way, he left a convention where he had scads of people make speeches about how compassionate he is. Here's my Bill Maher channeling: When you have to get people to make speeches about how compassionate you are...you're not compassionate.) Anyway, he's there proving how compassionate he is to the poor people who have lost everything they have, and so kindly tells a woman who has lost her home, "Go home and call 211." It brings tears to my eyes. It wouldn't surprise me that the government 211 service is on the chopping block. This guy is scary enough. What's really scary is people who would vote for him. http://httpjournalsaolcomjenjer6steph.blogspot.com/2012/09/romney-told-hurricane-victim-to-go-home.html Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - swampy - 09-01-2012 Blah, blah, blah. Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - OWC Jamie - 09-01-2012 and if he didn't go you'd be bashing him for that Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - $tevie - 09-01-2012 Exactly how do you go home and call 211 when you've lost your home? Obviously he didn't listen to her story. Or else he is just stupid. Interestingly enough, our first two respondents didn't understand the impossibility, either. Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - swampy - 09-01-2012 Here's the real story of the day. Perhaps Obummer should have gone to Louisianna and saved himself the embarrassment of Ft. Bliss. http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/31/obama-speech-to-soldiers-met-with-silence/ Watch the full speech here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DEuVFP-zGI&feature=youtube_gdata_player Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - Black - 09-01-2012 Accompanied by National Guard vehicles, the caravan inched through water that at some points was a foot or more deep, submerging gas stations, flooding homes and covering front laws. Residents stood in the water and watched the motorcade pass. I don't get how the motorcade was able to splash up enough water to cause all this submerging and flooding if it was going slowly as reported. Re: Romney tells homeless hurricane victim "Go home and call 211." - Ombligo - 09-01-2012 How about they both stay away and let the resources needed not be diluted by their presence. Romney showing up adds nothing and he can do little more than any one else. Essentially he is one step up from a rubbernecking gawker at an accident. Obama can do more because of his position but does he really need to go in order to know they need assistance where the storm hit? I'd respect him more if he stayed away simply stating that he does not wish to be a distraction or to get in the way of those on the ground doing good.
