Trackpads - graylocks - 09-14-2012 i starting up the learning curve on Mountain Lion via Pogue's Missing Manual. I've yet to put ML on my iMac but my new MBA has it and i found using the iPadish gestures on the trackpad kind of fun and efficient. i also think keeping track of separate gestures on the MMouse might be annoying so i'm starting to jones a bit for a trackpad for the iMac. there's a Apple Magic Trackpad. recommendations? Re: Trackpads - Todd's keyboard - 09-14-2012 I'm very happy with my Apple Magic Trackpad. I keep it on the left side of the keyboard. My Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 is on the right side of the keyboard. I end up using the mouse more frequently than the Trackpad, and I enjoy having both. Re: Trackpads - Todd's keyboard - 09-15-2012 I've posted my thoughts on the Evoluent mouse in this thread from November 2011: http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,1266338,1266607#msg-1266607 The mouse is pricey. (I forget if I mentioned in that thread that I bought a used on on ebay.) If the current Evoluent mouse failed, I suspect I would spend the money to buy another one. BTW, I also really like the Logitech portable mouse that John Dough recommends. I keep it at my office to use with my MBA. Again, the combination of mouse with a trackpad seems to lesson the RSI factor. I wish I could find a better keyboard for the iMac. While i have a Logitech keyboard with the angled keys, it didn't have the built-in USB ports that the Apple keyboard has. I give up the angled wrists for an extra, accessible USB port.
