Great game! If the O's can split at home they will be in good shape. They play very well against NY at Yankee Stadium.
Lots of people were doing orange jello shooters. They are going to be so sick tomorrow.

Tiger's and Orioles for the ALCS? How about the PITA in Atlanta? And just to clarify, I have NEVER, EVER understood the infield fly rule...

the infield fly rule:
There is a man on first. If there was NO infield fly rule, then when a fly ball is hit directly to an infielder, the best move is to let it drop and hit the ground. Then pick it up and throw to second for the force out and the then to first for the double play. It's too easy.
So WITH the the infield fly rule, if there is a man on base in a force out situation, a pop fly in the infield is called an automatic out.
HOWEVER in last night's game, the hit was apparently pretty darned far for an the infield fly ruling. AFAIK, there is no distance in the rulebook that defines an infield fly.
