Yate audio file tagger on sale (half price), anyone here use it? - decay - 10-24-2012 the app http://2manyrobots.com/yate/ feature list http://2manyrobots.com/yate-feature-list/ the sale $15 (normally $30) http://maczot.com/discuss/2012/10/24/yate/ Developed for users who are serious and precise about tagging their audio files. Yate’s feature list reflects a desire to be able to do pretty much anything that can be done in a tagger. Some of these features include a scripting system called actions which lets the user execute a series of steps with one click. Another key feature is Yate’s extensive integration with iTunes and we also supports Discogs and MusicBrainz functionality. Integration with iTunes was always a key point for us. So we worked on the ability to link files in Yate to iTunes and pass metadata not stored in the files back and forth. We also spent a lot of time working on the ability to do editing in Yate and have it automatically or manually refresh the data stored in iTunes. Here’s a list of some of the features available in Yate: Batch Processing Wizard which allows you to edit all of your audio files with a single action changes can be reverted to the last saved version drag artwork in from the web, any image file, any file containing a png or jpg image and from iTunes open files/folders specified in a path in the system clipboard Discogs wizard to import data from the Discogs database MusicBrainz wizard to import data from the MusciBrainz database tracks can be added to iTunes tracks can be linked to iTunes and the rating, play count, skip when shuffling and gapless state can be passed in either direction repairs broken file links in iTunes ability to Show Files in iTunes compare iTunes values with Yate Yate is just getting started and one of the benefits of selling outside the Mac App Store is that we can do updates as rapidly as we wish. We can be more responsive to issues and get patches out immediately when available. We’re looking forward to getting involved with people who are as passionate about tagging as we are. System Requirements: Mac OS 10.6.6 or higher Re: Yate audio file tagger on sale (half price), anyone here use it? - deckeda - 10-24-2012 Never heard of it but check it out. Bizarre that AIFF compatibility isn't on their radar. Re: Yate audio file tagger on sale (half price), anyone here use it? - decay - 10-25-2012 i can see editing in AIFF or WAV, but i don't keep my audio files in that format - i typically FLAC 'em, then decompress when it's time to edit again. you can see how often i work on full-size audio files. ![]() |
