I first noticed this two months or so ago.... was annoyed that it kept bouncing into interiors when I didn't want it to (considering the resources available it's amazing how much of the time Google's implementation of new features is an utter disaster.)

Radio ads for a helicopter based traffic report used to say, "Do you know how many people have sky lights right over their bathtubs?"

Pretty funny!

When you drag the little street view homunculus onto the map, there will be an orange dot if it goes inside a business. Not surprisingly, there's a lot in the San Jose area. Google 300 East Campbell Avenue, Campbell, California, zoom in enough so you can see all the shops. You have to be be pretty well zoomed in. Lots of orange dots.

NB there's often a discrepancy between what business the map suggests your looking into, and what you actually see. On that stretch of Campbell Ave, it looks like you can peek into Katie Blooms Irish Pub, or the Cardiff Lounge, but you're actually streetviewing into neighboring businesses.
