Now that MobilemMe's dead.... - Phy - 10-25-2012 I used MobileMe to host a couple websites, but they disappeared when iCloud was born. Does Apple offer any web-hosting plans, services now? Fortunately, I used Websucker to replicate the sites, but am not sure where to put them now. Anyone have an idea for a decent, low-priced web-hosting site? Re: Now that MobilemMe's dead.... - Phy - 10-25-2012 Sorry, I didn't see the other posts on this subject. My summer was chaotic and I nearly lost my mind because of some family issues with my grown kids. I guess what I need are recommendations for a decent, low-cost web host. Thanks in advance... Phy Re: Now that MobilemMe's dead.... - Ken Sp. - 10-25-2012 If you ace the sites with iWeb ou may still have the sites. If you registered domain names itch GoDaddy at a certain time, they include free hosting. I use it for a site or two. Static simple sites but it works. Fastmail is an excellent email provider, so I think of the web space as an added bonus. It makes their services all the more worthwhile and cost effective. Anyone experience this? Doesn't seem to be an issue. Re: Now that MobilemMe's dead.... - Zoidberg - 10-25-2012 Another vote for MacHighway; most "mac-like" and easy to work with. Quick response to requests/etc. Avoid GoDaddy. YMMV. As far as your sites go, they're still on your Mac via your iWeb application. You can still even publish using it, but a lot of things might not work as expected. I tried out several alternatives (including RapidWeaver and Freeway) for months a year back; finally decided on Sandvox, which I'm still using and still very much like for my basic needs.
