A week out; have you voted... - wave rider - 10-31-2012 Given Big Sandy's effect on many areas, it seems even more prudent to have voted early. Did you? I finally got my butt in gear, filled out my ballot, and turned it in today. And I got a handful of "I Voted" stickers too... =wr= Re: A week out; have you voted... - Sam3 - 10-31-2012 We can vote early only for the following 5 reasons: * age 60 years old or older * unable to vote without assistance at the polls * expecting to be out of town on election day * in jail awaiting arraignment or trial * unable to attend the polls due to religious reasons * appointed to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of your precinct of residence. I haven't voted early. I can't. (Unless I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster and It tells me to not vote in person on the 1st Tuesday of November.) Re: A week out; have you voted... - wave rider - 10-31-2012 Sorry to hear that, early voting has been going on for weeks around here with NO questions asked. I get the mail in ballot because they closed my polling site. =wr= Re: A week out; have you voted... - Manlove - 10-31-2012 * unable to attend the polls due to religious reasons ??? Re: A week out; have you voted... - mstudio - 10-31-2012 Last week Monday, the first day allowed here in Wisconsin. Re: A week out; have you voted... - graylocks - 10-31-2012 fortunately GA allows advance voting for any reason. my son and i first tried last Friday but the line was MUCH longer than i expected. we finally got it done early monday morning. though it was inconvenient it was heartening to see a strong turnout. Re: A week out; have you voted... - $tevie - 10-31-2012 I could walk 20 minutes to stand in a 2-hour line, or wait until November 6 and walk 1/2 block to stand in very likely no line at all. I'm waiting! Re: A week out; have you voted... - Surfrider - 10-31-2012 We went on Saturday but the line was huge! We'll go maybe Thursday night, I want my 18 year old daughter to vote with us. Don't want some Romney poll watching nazi to scare her off. Re: A week out; have you voted... - beagledave - 10-31-2012 I live in Iowa. I voted in September. (mail in ballot) Re: A week out; have you voted... - JoeH - 10-31-2012 Another person in a state with relatively restrictive rules on early voting, so I will not be voting until next Tuesday. |
