midi hardware question - Fritz - 02-07-2013

is there a midi box that with take a usb A connector and send the midi out 2 midi ports?

I want to fire 2 Ableton Live systems simultaneously off one LaunchPad so that the 2 systems timing is as close as possible.
I would connect the outgoing midi to 2 audio/midi I/Os such as MotU Traveler mk 3's.

or a good mid forum to pose the same question?

I've seen things online that take a USB Type B connector and have two MIDI outputs. Could that be it, a so-called "2x2" box?

it is, but that won't do the job, unfortunately because of the direction I need to go and the connector.

The boxes have two MIDI outputs, right? Do they need two inputs instead?

Also, there's this: http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/usb-cable/30u1-03300.htm
