The real 'investment' is in the agreement to buy screens from them. Sharp is expected to lose $5 BILLION this year... $110M is about the same level of 'investment' that Microsoft did when they bought Apple Stock back in the days of Bill Gate's Giant Head.

I don't see this as any sort of tweak on Apple at all.

There were stories of Apple investing far more than that in Sharp about a year and a half ago. Partly to not depend on Samsung so much for LCD panels.
