(CNN) -- Actor Wesley Snipes has been released from a federal prison where he was serving a three-year sentence after being convicted on tax charges in February 2010.

As I recall he bought into the idea that he didn't have to pay any taxes ever. If he had let Hollywood manage his earnings, he would not have had to. They have wondrous ways of making anything unprofitable on paper .
