I haven't used it but I've used MailSteward which serves a similar purpose. This seems like a much better deal if it works well.

You do know that Apple Mail has an Archive function, right?
Type Archive in Mail Help search box.

The software mentioned also archives mail from apps other than Apple Mail.

In my experience, it's annoying and corruption-prone. Not fond of it.
