Some were bagged & boxed in the cargo hold, others were in Igloo coolers with battery operated air pumps that went into overhead bins. Getting the CITES permit was ridiculously easy. And nobody at any airport knew enough about fish to know what to do with the paperwork. I could've been smuggling a mermaid for all they knew.
