Powerpoint 2011 weirdness - PeterB - 08-27-2013

Hi everyone, I'm using MS Office 2011, and specifically Powerpoint. I just opened up a presentation of mine originally made using the 2008 version, and I discovered that there's a graphic in there that doesn't show up when I open it with 2011, but does show up when I open it with 2008.

Cutting and pasting the graphic into the 2011 version doesn't work, nor does the Insert -> Picture option. I've also tried saving the graphic in different formats and trying to insert it, and again, each time it doesn't show up.

Any ideas of what's going on here, and/or a fix? TiA

Create a new blank document, open old document, select all and paste into the new blank document.

Should show the picture after that.

Hi Carm, tried that, didn't work.

What DID work (finally): pasting the graphic into a different slide in the same presentation, then cutting it again and pasting it into the right slide. Why this worked... completely beyond me! :eye:

Powerpoint and Word are weird like that. I have had to deal with these issues when transferring from different versions of word/ppt and cross platform.
