great idea but I did notice the only image people were shown looking it was the one showing two females topless.

Love it! Sadly, while I recognize all except one of the paintings, I cannot name the artists except for the Delacroix. It's been a long time since those art history classes.

First we are talking about France, the French are not particularly prudish about these things and secondly I guess those looking were Japanese tourists.

I have mixed feelings about this, mainly because a similar justification is used by those who deface walls with scribbles or political protest and call it graffiti art.
This is France, where the rules may be different, but somebody paid good money for those billboards, and what one person can claim the right to use them free -- even for an art project?

I've been in advertising for most of my life, so I'm not sure whether I like this because it's a kind of revenge on an industry the culture of which I came to dislike, or whether I'm just a sucker for art. However, I absolutely see your point.
