Do I Need Growl? - chopper - 02-24-2014

I've had Growl on every Mac I've owned for several years now. I'm still putting together my iMac with 10.7.5 and re-installing all software fresh.

Wondering .. do I need Growl in 2014?

I still use it (the free version) on 10.9.2. I've never upgraded to the paid version, yet, as it still serves my needs as-is.

Same here. I thought there'd be a lot of overlap with Notifications, there's not, but maybe I tweaked something. I'm geeky enough to like seeing when stuff like USB things connect/disconnect.

Exactly the same here. I think it complements Notifications very well.

It's saved me many times, and still does by alerting me to when the power cable becomes unplugged or not.
