Fairly useful. The first few are damage control for the gawd-awful "flat" UI that Jonny Ives has created. Sadly, they still can't return us to an actually usable and readable iOS 6 interface.

1 and 3 are essential, IMHO.
Step 2 is not on my iP5s, but I'm not running iOS7.1

Auto-start political ads on Macworld? No thanks. Not gonna linger long enough to read whatever info they have. Ugh.
