Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - Catzilla - 07-02-2014 https://www.dollarshaveclub.com Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - pinkoos - 07-02-2014 Could've sworn it was discussed here at least a couple of times in the past, but I can't seem to find any threads on it via search. Weird. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - Paul F. - 07-02-2014 No.. but I LOVE their commercials... And, I HAVE used one of the razors they sell, bought from the manufacturer, not from Dollar Shave Club... http://dorcousa.com/ For the same price as a Costco package of the Mach 3 blades I've been using, I got a razor, and enough blades to last me, oh, maybe two years... They're not QUITE as good as the Mach 3, but close enough that not having to pay the extortion fees for the Mach 3 blades is quite welcome. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - Racer X - 07-02-2014 My older step-son uses them. They seem to be fine, especially at the price they are. I love their OneWipeCharlies commercials. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - davemchine - 07-02-2014 There was an extensive discussion about shaving not too long ago. I think it started by discussing some exotic new razor. I can't find the discussion but I do remember the consensus was to purchase a safety razor and swap in your own blades. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - Robert M - 07-02-2014 Dave, I'm not sure there was any consensus. But, I can say I switched to a safety razor more than a year and a half ago and haven't looked back. Better shaves. Cheap blades. I wish I switched years ago or started with a DE safety razor from the very beginning. Robert Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - pinion - 07-02-2014 I had them. The money I was willing to spend got me basically disposable blades that I didn't really care for and to get some decent blades I think it was like $7 a month at the time. I just stick to getting the big pack of Gillette refills from Sam's club. But you can cancel anytime, I could see why people might like it. I gave them 3 months myself and I don't think I'd do it again. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - RAMd®d - 07-02-2014 The concensus was that double edge shaing was generally cheaper, but not for everybody. I was going that route, but decided to try Harry's, harrys.com. Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - Fritz - 07-02-2014 RAMd®d wrote: and ............... ? Re: Anyone try Dollar Shave Club? - MGS_forgot_password - 07-02-2014 I'm like Paul. I switched from Mach 3 to Dorco blades. They're not quite as good, but a whole lot cheaper. |
