I fixed my mail! I fixed my mail! :D - CJsNvrUrly - 10-26-2014 Mail stopped working after upgrading to Yosemite. I tried various troubleshooting techniques (thanks to those who offered suggestions) but nothing worked. Today, I messed around with it some more and finally disconnected it from the cloud. That worked! It was scary with the five or six warnings that came up telling me that things were going to be deleted from my Mac, but I forged ahead anyway and...it's working now! Yayyy. ![]() Yippeee! - RAMd®d - 10-26-2014 Now it's time for the Topless Dance of Joy! Unfortunately there are more than a few users that do not get the full, great experience the app is capable of (corrupted mailboxes is my best guess). I'm still in 10.6.8 so it's not clear to me what is exactly what you did. Did you log out from the iCloud preference pane and logged in again? Anyway... Re: I fixed my mail! I fixed my mail! :D - hal - 10-26-2014 CJ - from what OS did you upgrade from? I think I have all of my dicks in a row for the upgrade on my work computer, but the mail app seems to be a wild card these days. Re: I fixed my mail! I fixed my mail! :D - sekker - 10-26-2014 The only way I managed to get Apple Mail to be stable was to formally export all of my files and import them manually. I may do this when I take the Yosemite plunge on my main machine. Alas, the VMware / windows bootcamp machine is not Yosemite-compliant, and I don't have time to take a whole day making sure it still works when I upgrade the Mac OS (took me two phone calls and a live chat to get my Windows Pro license transferred, don't need that time sync at this time). Re: I fixed my mail! I fixed my mail! :D - CJsNvrUrly - 10-26-2014 hal, you had me ROFPOMTL with that one. ![]() Just how many dicks do you have? I picture a Hannibal-like scene with a varied collection, preserved in jars on shelves. (One of you will probably want to post a link to such an image. Please don't.) ![]() To answer your question...I upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. |
