Opening mp3 - Mr. Ed - 08-22-2006 A friend sent me an e-mail with a direct link to an mp3 file (non commercial). I saved it (did "save as"). It's on my desktop, looking like a normal mp3. iTunes opens when I "click" on it. but, I can't get iTunes to play it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Re: Opening mp3 - timg - 08-22-2006 Are you sure it's not a virus masquerading as an mp3? Re: Opening mp3 - Mr. Ed - 08-22-2006 No, it's the real thing. The guy that sent the link tells me I need QuickTime Pro to actually save it as an mp3. He then sent the mp3, which works fine with iTunes. I don't understand it. But, I've got the clip I need. Thanks! Re: Opening mp3 - The UnDoug - 08-23-2006 Do a Get Info on the file (right/control-click and choose Get Info). Make sure the file size isn't Zero kb. If so, the file is just an icon with no data in it. |
