Starting up Mini in Target Mode - graylocks - 08-23-2006

still trying to troubleshoot my mini.

i've connected the Mini to my iBook via a firewire cable. booted the Mini into target mode but it's not showing up on the Mini desktop.

did i do it correctly? i've only done this target mode action once before.

The one time that I used the target mode, the screen on the system booted to be a firewire drive had a firewire symbol moving around on it.

Connect the two computers. Start the iBook first. Then start the mini while holding down its T key. The mini's hard drive should show up on the iBooks screen.
