Anybody have a Spirograph as a child? - pinkoos - 01-16-2015

I had one way back when so we decided that Santa (ie, my wife and I) would get one for my younger, artisically-inclined son.

Got a good deal on Amazon for Christmas, but now I found this:

Could have saved $11!

By the way, the site won't work on mobile, but you'll get a note letting you know that a mobile app is on the way.

Sure. Loved it, even if I always did have a pen slip out and make a big slash across the design at least once...

Had that and also enjoyed Shrinky Dinks for awhile until I realized all you're basically doing is creating little pieces of trash.

Yes, and the kids use the set that Mrs. Zealand grew up with. Yes, the pens have been replaced and a few pieces are missing.

I hated when that happened. Smile

Loved my Spirograph. I literally used up the included pens in just a few weeks after receiving the kit.

I also experienced the pen slip that Will described. Usually just as I was about done with my creation. :banghead:

Yes, shrinky dinks. I introduced my kids to those as well several years ago. They've grown out of that phase now, but I enjoyed doing it with them. Brought back lots and lots of memories.

One of the greatest toys ever.. along with etch-a-sketch, lincoln logs, and matchbox cars.
