iOS 8.4 on iPhone 4s - Short Progress Report - cbelt3 - 07-07-2015
One word rating - "Meh".
More points:
Slower.
Battery life... about the same. Then again the battery is on its last legs and needs to be replaced anyway.
Music ? Some things better... doesn't go into the 'cover collage' mode when you turn it sideways, which is good. I miss the 'now playing' button.. it's a little area towards the bottom. 'The improvements' to music are tolerable. I'll continue to ignore Apple's attempts at 'socializing' Music, and their beats/streaming/whatever thing. I've got enough of MY music to keep me happy for... oh, hundreds of hours.
Crashes ? Yeah, a bit more frequent. May relate to apps being upgraded. And sometimes weird... the 'swipe up' audio control section stopped working entirely yesterday. A restart fixed it, but.. really ?
Overall: I don't regret upgrading.

You should take that phone and see if you can throw it all the way across the flames of the Cuyahoga River. Then you'll be blessed with a 6 Plus.

Well another complaint is being unable to make a call. Screen goes plain white and locks up the phone. Restart is required. Doesn't happen all the time, but has happened twice.

Hmm. That happened a LOT with 8.3. It has not happened with 8.4. Yet.
I've basically become used to having to reset the phone at least once a week. Which sucks. I haven't rebooted my Mac Mini running Yosemite for six months. (Not counting two power failures).

I bought a used 4s five months ago, and it's running 7.1.2.
It has never needed rebooting.
