Jared gets the Full Monty. - OWC Jamie - 11-19-2015 Prosecutors had been seeking a punishment of around 12 years in prison, while Fogle's lawyers asked for a sentence of around five years.Judge gave him 15 / 13 min. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2015/11/19/456622271/jared-fogle-to-learn-sentence-for-sex-with-minors-child-pornography Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - cbelt3 - 11-19-2015 I'm particularly pleased to hear about the conviction for 'sexual tourism'... despite his pedophilia perversion being 'permitted' in certain places, returning to the US after committing those crimes elsewhere is still a crime in the US. Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - riley5108 - 11-19-2015 Not sure what the 13 min. means, but that's the only thing that's been on the Indianapolis news stations. Judge sentenced him to 188 months, he deserves every month---what an idiot. Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - Spock - 11-19-2015 Looks like he's putting a bit of weight on. Must be a change of diet. Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - JoeH - 11-19-2015 The 13 minimum means that the earliest he can be released with good behavior credits is in 13 years. That is one year more than the prosecution recommended for a sentence as part of the plea deal. My take is that essentially the judge was indicating rejection of that portion of the deal as too short of a sentence. Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - OWC Jamie - 11-19-2015 13 years minimum to be served. Just supposedly means whatever parole process can be implemented for the 13 year mark can be implemented at/for the 13 year mark and not before. He could be out at 13 if the parole process yields that allowance. Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - Paul F. - 11-19-2015 As much as I am glad he's going away for a LONG time, I am NOT in favor of the U.S. laws regulating citizens while they are NOT on U.S. soil. It's a bad precedent. Working to establish laws WORLD WIDE to protect children, THAT is a better way to deal with it. cbelt3 wrote: Re: Jared gets the Full Monty. - Racer X - 11-19-2015 I agree with you Paul. Would we stand for it here in the US if we were arrested at the Wyoming border, because someone saw us smoking pot in Colorado? Or getting dragged out of our cars at the California border because we were with a hooker in Nevada?
