I can't tell you the problems that everyone is having with Quicken for Mac 2015
but this email saying I can get $10 off now, if I buy 2016 now, and my follow thru to the payout screen:
I am using the 2015 version, and about a month ago or longer, I have been on the phone to the Phillipines and Georgia, and New York.... All of their call centers. I have opened TICKETS, and Called my credit union, and they have opened tickets. Some of my calls were >90 minutes.
Quicken is in a hurt. According to this link, I am sure they are having tons of trouble:

Now I am on version 2.8. My CU competely quit working with either Quicken Connect or Direct Downloads. I just make sure I make backups before beginning to change anything in settings.
During the last week, I have had to enter everything by hand.
And they have the nerve to ask me for $ for another version, they should really have a version that work first.ala 2015

Quicken has been utter garbage since roughly 1997.

STF for the various places people have gone in abandoning Quicken.
For me, it is Moneydance - because it imported 15+ years of data with only 3 things I had to manually fix.

I tried them all about 2 years ago. But had misgivings about jumping ship, but you cant believe the phone calls. And the long drawn out help, and the escalating to the script writers, and never hearing back.

We had several major issues with 2015. At one point they were recommending that you spool up terminal and rename some file before you opened a record ... insanity.

Releasing buggy software and expecting you to upgrade to get the fixes was Adobe's scheme for a long time.

Not even Intuit wants anything to do with Quicken any more.
Some would say it was only made an official formality when they put it up for sale, when in reality they've been neglecting it for years on end.
They feel Quickbooks and "the cloud" is where the money is, though ironically, the connectivity issues are among the biggest complaints about Quicken (though the banks play a role in that as well).

After continued frustration with Quicken for Mac, I moved on to Moneydance about 3 years ago. Haven't looked back.
