Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - mikebw - 12-12-2005 Thailand means "Land of the Free." Re: Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - mikebw - 12-12-2005 Let me just add to this with my own "Real Fact": Water should NOT cost more than gasoline. I volunteered some time to help sell food at a basketball game, bottled water was $3.50 for a 20 oz bottle. That's over $20 a gallon. IT'S JUST WATER. The naturally occuring thing that covers the majority of the surface of the earth. Compare to that gasoline, which is a highly processed petroleum product, something that must be drilled and pumped out from the depths of our earth. Which one should be more costly? Yes yes, I know fresh water is not as common as salt water, but you get my point. Re: Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - rgG - 12-12-2005 Here's another: Alpharetta, the town where I live, actually means "First City" in Greek, who knew? Re: Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - jimbrady - 12-12-2005 True. Gasoline is way underpriced. Re: Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - bangman - 12-12-2005 Wow, jimbrady I'm impressed. You must be from Europe or something because most Americans feel that gasoline is way overpriced. We get it for next to nothing in real terms. BTW if you lived in Venezuela, gasoline is something like .30 cents a gallon. Re: Snapple "Real Fact" #190 - mikebw - 12-13-2005 pretty sure Jim was joking... how's the weather in Venezuela anyway? |
