-9ยบ F here in eastern Massachusetts. Coldest I can remember at this location.
Wind seems to have died down, though. Last night the wind was brutal.
It used to be called the "Montreal Express." Years ago, Boston Gas distributed a 45 rpm single with a song by that name, from Al Sears and the Countrymen:

Wind calm here too... BlackJack went out for about three minutes and ran back in. No hunting birds around the feeders for him this morning.

It has been quite a while since it was this cold . Thankfully this spate is to be short-lived.
It's tough to walk in this outside, but I still got my 4 miles in yesterday and dressing up for the biting wind and get out in it to get 4 miles in this AM shortly. A little late, but it's weekend and a tad chilly.

Pittdfield, MA has -18. My thermometer doesn't go that low but I bet we're close to that in Cummington.
I slept on the sofa last night rather than try to heat up the upstairs.
