I bought some SDRAM at a yard sale ... for $1.00 - decocritter - 09-17-2006

how do I figure out what kind it is and if it will work in my emac??

One says PC100 S-DR PC-32NAT and a hand written label (Nanya 256 meg NT56V180 AOT - 8A 5.6 V)

256 3.3V 256 Meg 10 minute cycle time - Toshiba TC5951608AFT

if it won't work in your eMac, let me know. I have a PC it should work in.

Since they have 256 written on them, I'd assume they're 256 MB.

The only eMac that would work with the first chip would be the first line at 700 Mhz

The second chip could be PC100 or PC133, so it MAY work in the 800/1000 Mhz systems.


They could be improper spec, so they may not work still, or may provide poor results, but if they work, then good for you on your discount purchase.
