3 cops dead. Two others wounded.
Suspect dead, unnamed.
Circumstances not clear. I'd wait for details. Sunday morning news staffing are not the greatest.
This could be a factor. Stay tuned.
"Baton Rouge police have been under scrutiny after officers fatally shot Alton Sterling, 37, on July 5 while he was pinned to the ground. Sterling was black and the officers involved were white. Sterling’s funeral was Friday. Police have said they thought he was reaching for a gun."

CNN keeps blasting "Ambush" as a headline and has already turned this into a retaliatory political act against police and it may well be nothing of the sort.

Witness Brady Vancel told WAFB that he saw two people shooting at each other before authorities even arrived.
“There was multiple gunshots going back and forth and back and forth before any police ever showed up. This was not a come-at-police situation,” Vancel said. “They weren’t targeting police at first, I don’t assume so, because these were men out here shooting at each other in an empty parking lot until the police showed and then it turned into a gun battle, I’m guessing to try to get themselves free or get out of the situation.”

”We grieve for the officers killed in Baton Rouge today. How many law enforcement and people have to die because of a lack of leadership in our country? We demand law and order.”

It now does look like this was an act targeting Baton Rouge officers. This is the man identified as the shooter. Like the Dallas shooter, military service, no prior criminal record.

Exactly. That heavy.com story is at wide variance with the eyewitness account. I'm going to wait quite a while for the misinformation and confusion to die down. Everyone is dead anyway.
